The HGTV star revealed that she had turned down Hall’s first marriage proposal, which led him to throw the ring in the pool. Amidst Haack’s candid revelations, Josh Hall took to his Instagram Stories to share a cryptic post about ‘liars.’ Accompanied by Chuck Brodsky’s “Liar Liar, Pants on Fire” playing in the background, Hall posted a message stating, “Never argue with liars. You can’t win, because they believe their own lies.”

Haack disclosed that their relationship had its ups and downs, and even when Hall proposed the first time, things weren’t smooth-sailing. She mentioned that she felt unprepared and declined the proposal, causing Hall to react by throwing the ring into the pool. Although Hall’s representative denied these claims, Haack stood by her story.

The former couple had split in July 2024, with Hall filing for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Despite not having a prenuptial agreement, neither party was required to pay spousal support.
