An American Airlines passenger was tied to a chair with duct tape after allegedly attacking a flight attendant, causing a disturbance on her Las Vegas-bound flight. Ketty J. Dilone was arrested on September 16 following the incident, where she reportedly assaulted a flight attendant during her journey from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to Las Vegas, Nevada. The altercation took place on a flight with a layover in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office District of Nevada, Dilone threatened multiple flight attendants and verbally abused them while walking down the aisle of the aircraft. As her behaviour escalated, she had to be restrained in her seat using zip ties and duct tape. The situation took a dangerous turn when Dilone allegedly kicked a flight attendant, causing them to fall.


Dilone was subdued with duct tape wrapped around her torso and legs to prevent any further aggressive behaviour.
