Missing Man’s Body Found 3 Months After He Disappeared, Leaving His Dog Behind in Running Truck

The body of a missing man has been discovered more than three months after he disappeared in Colorado, leaving his dog behind in his running truck. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office announced the tragic finding of Paul Aragon, 34, on August 26, approximately 150 yards east of the Flatirons Vista Trailhead. His remains were positively identified by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office on Thursday, August 28. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have raised questions, as authorities have not yet disclosed whether foul play is suspected.

Aragon was reported missing back in May when his truck, along with his faithful dog, was located near the WoodSpring Suites outside of Broomfield. It was during a routine check that a crew member with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks stumbled upon Aragon’s body, signalling an end to a months-long search effort.
