Jodie Sweetin’s Daughter, Beatrix, Embarks on Sophomore Year
Actress Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role in “Full House,” shared a heartwarming glimpse into her family life as her daughter Beatrix, aged 14, began her sophomore year at school. The proud mum took to social media to post a series of photos capturing Beatrix’s first day of the new academic year.
In the snapshots, Beatrix exuded confidence and style, sporting a Kiss concert t-shirt paired with a denim skirt and knee-high Converse sneakers. Alongside Beatrix, Sweetin’s older daughter Zoie, aged 17, joined in for a sweet selfie, marking the milestone day for the family.
Expressing her pride, Sweetin captioned the post, “Bea’s first day of her Sophomore year!! Can’t believe summer is wrapping up already. So proud of you Bea!” She also mentioned that Zoie is set to kick off her senior year the following week, indicating a significant academic year for both her daughters.
Sweetin’s journey into motherhood began when she tied the knot with Cody Herpin in 2007, welcoming daughter Zoie in April the next year. Despite the relationship coming to an end, the actress found love again and welcomed her second daughter, Beatrix, in 2010 with Morty Coyle. Their union in marriage followed in 2012, but the couple announced their separation a year later.
In an interview with “Today” in May 2023, Sweetin highlighted the importance of honesty and authenticity in parenting, emphasising the value of showing vulnerability to her daughters. She shared, “One thing I have always done with my girls is admitted that I’m not perfect and that I don’t always have all the answers and that I’m just trying to do my best.”
Reflecting on the rapid passage of time as her daughters grow older, Sweetin opened up about her feelings of adjustment during an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE in August 2024. Partnering with OLLY for the back-to-school season, she candidly shared her emotions, saying, “But yeah, weirdly feels like normal, but it also feels like, ‘How did we get here so fast?’ But I am adjusting.”
Amidst her personal journey, Sweetin also shed light on her interactions with her children regarding her acting career. Revealing that her kids never showed interest in watching her on-screen performances, she humorously recalled their reaction as simply “weird.” The only glimpse they caught of her work was coincidentally stumbling upon it while channel surfing.
As fans continue to admire Jodie Sweetin’s on-screen talent, her devoted approach to motherhood shines through, celebrating each chapter of her daughters’ lives with love and support. With Beatrix commencing her sophomore year, the Sweetin family shares a moment of joy and anticipation for the milestones ahead.
