**Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail Makes a Magical Return**
Excitement is in the air for Tim Burton fans as the Disney “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail” is set to make a grand return at the New York Botanical Garden this fall. Not only will this beloved experience be back in New York City, but it will also be gracing Austin at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, as confirmed exclusively by PEOPLE. Following the massive success of last year’s event, enthusiasts of the 1993 cult-classic animated film will once again have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their favorite scenes brought to life. Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and more iconic characters will guide visitors through a trail illuminated with magic, accompanied by songs from the movie against the backdrop of the stunning botanical gardens.
The trail, covering more than 8,300 square feet, boasts state-of-the-art light installations including interactive video projections, intelligent LED lighting, and 3D printed sculptures of the beloved characters. To make this year even more special, four new scenes have been added to enhance the experience. Jeffrey Seller, the founder of Adventureland, the team behind the creation of the trail in collaboration with LETSGO and Buena Vista Theatrical, expressed excitement about the improvements, promising a more thrilling experience with a longer trail, more surprises, and enhanced hospitality. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early or stay late to enjoy hot cider, beer, wine, and delicious snacks on offer.
In a bid to enable more fans to partake in the enchanting event, the trail will also be making its debut in Austin, Texas, alongside its return to New York City. LETSGO Founder Iñaki Fernández expressed enthusiasm about bringing this mesmerising experience to a new audience, allowing more individuals to step into the captivating world crafted by Tim Burton. Additionally, fans can indulge in exclusive merchandise available at the “BOOths”, featuring custom-designed t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, bags, and more.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail will be open for 10 weeks in both locations, with operating hours from dusk to 10:00 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays starting from September 15 through November 30. Tickets for this magical experience can be purchased at TheNightmareBeforeChristmasLightTrail.com.
