A Nevada woman who established an online community for mothers is now facing troubling child abuse charges following disturbing allegations that have come to light. Christiann Ault has been hit with two counts of lewdness with a child and one count of child abuse or neglect based on incidents that are said to have occurred in 2022, as per details obtained from Clark County Court records that were reviewed by PEOPLE. Ault, who played a role as an administrator within the Facebook group known as “Las Vegas Super Moms”, has found herself at the center of these accusations, as reported by local news outlets such as News 3, 8 News Now, and 13 KTNV.
The Facebook group, “Las Vegas Super Moms,” of which Ault was involved with, was established back in 2021 as a private space tailored for mothers residing in Las Vegas. The group was intended to serve as a platform for various interactions among the members including discussions, vents, celebrations, and occasional meetups. Although the group attracted almost 30,000 members, recent reports indicate that the group’s activities have been halted for the past month, following the emergence of these troubling allegations against Ault.
According to court documents examined by PEOPLE, the disturbing details of the abuse alleged that Ault coerced the child into rubbing their private areas on her chest and legs, with the intent to arouse or gratify her own desires. The child disclosed that they were enticed into these abhorrent acts with the promise of being rewarded with “iPad time”. The victim also revealed that Ault resorted to locking them in a room out of anger and expressed hatred towards them. Furthermore, the child disclosed that Ault had threatened them with violence, warning that dire consequences would follow if they ever disclosed the abuse inflicted upon them.
The victim recounted to authorities that the abuse had transpired consistently over a span of nearly two years, taking place once or twice a week within Ault’s bedroom apartment until the month of March in 2024. Additional evidence presented to a grand jury reportedly includes a video call in which Ault is heard pleading with the child not to speak out about the abuse, citing fears of facing legal repercussions. During the call, Ault can be heard expressing her anxieties about the potential consequences she may face if the truth were to emerge, revealing the complexity and emotional manipulation inherent in these disturbing circumstances.
As the legal proceedings unfold, Ault has maintained her plea of not guilty in response to the charges levelled against her, as per court records. These distressing allegations have underscored the importance of vigilance and prompt action in safeguarding vulnerable individuals, particularly children, from instances of abuse and exploitation. The case serves as a stark reminder of the critical need for vigilance and proactive intervention to address instances of child abuse in our communities to ensure the protection and well-being of individuals who may be at risk.
In the event of suspected child abuse, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline or utilize resources such as the Crisis Text Line for immediate support and guidance. The significance of fostering a safe and supportive environment for individuals impacted by such harrowing experiences cannot be overstated, as efforts to raise awareness and offer assistance are crucial in combating the insidious effects of abuse and safeguarding the welfare of those affected.
This case sheds light on the imperative nature of community vigilance and action in responding to instances of abuse, underscoring the collective responsibility in addressing and preventing such atrocities from occurring. The need for ongoing support, advocacy, and intervention in cases of abuse remains paramount, as we strive towards cultivating a culture of safety, trust, and protection for all individuals, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
