Pamela Anderson has addressed the comparisons made between her cooking show and Meghan Markle’s recent venture during a recent television appearance. The former ‘Baywatch’ star, 58, made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where she was questioned about the similarity between her show, ‘Pamela’s Cooking With Love,’ and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series ‘With Love, Meghan.’ The two shows premiered just a week apart earlier this year.

During the segment “Plead the Fifth,” Anderson was asked about the resemblance between the two shows, with Cohen inquiring about the extent to which she felt Meghan’s show was a “rip-off” of her own. To this, Anderson responded with a casual “One. I didn’t,” expressing her surprise at the question and indicating that she did not perceive any significant similarities between the two shows.

Anderson further clarified her stance by mentioning that she did not claim to have invented cooking shows, suggesting that both individuals were simply pursuing their own passions in the culinary world. Her response showcased a sense of graciousness and understanding towards Meghan’s creative endeavour.
‘Pamela’s Cooking With Love’ premiered on Feb. 24, featuring renowned chefs coming together with Anderson on a rural property in Vancouver Island, Canada. The show focused on preparing plant-based meals for dinner parties, reflecting Anderson’s commitment to a vegan lifestyle. In contrast, Meghan’s ‘With Love, Meghan’ premiered on Netflix on March 4 and showcased the Duchess of Sussex engaging in various cooking and entertaining activities.
Despite the online chatter and comparisons drawn between the two shows, Anderson’s nonchalant reaction and acknowledgement of individual creative expression have resonated with many viewers. Her down-to-earth attitude and focus on sharing her love for plant-based cuisine have distinguished her show, setting it apart from Meghan’s more encompassing lifestyle series.
It was previously reported that Netflix plans to release a second season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ in the near future, with the production for the installment already completed. However, recent speculations indicate that Meghan and Prince Harry’s lucrative multi-million dollar deal with Netflix may not be extended beyond its expiration in September.
As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, collaborations and creative ventures like those of Anderson and Meghan are indicative of the diverse content available to audiences worldwide. Both women have carved out their own niches within the culinary and lifestyle genres, contributing their unique perspectives and passions to the entertainment landscape.
