The tragedy that prompted this recall involved a 23-month-old boy who died from asphyxiation in February 2023 after his clothing got caught on one of the hooks of the toy set.

KidKraft Farm to Table Model Play Kitchens, originally manufactured by KidKraft, Inc., are designed for children aged 3 years and above. These toy sets, measuring around 44 inches in length and 43 inches in height, were sold online by various retailers, including KidKraft, Amazon, and Walmart. The recalled sets carry the model number 53411, and consumers are urged to check for this number on a sticker located on the back of the product.

In response to the tragic incident and subsequent recall, Backyard Kids, LLC, has committed to providing free replacement hooks for the toy kitchen sets. Consumers who have purchased these sets are advised to stop using them immediately and contact the company to receive the replacement hooks.
