A 21-year-old mother left her infant son with family members to enjoy a birthday dinner, only for the child to tragically be mauled to death by the family dog. Despite immediate efforts to seek medical assistance, the child was pronounced dead upon arrival at Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach.
