Seth Rogen, well-known for his comedic talent and love for reality television, has recently shared his thoughts on the departure of Jax Taylor from the popular series, “The Valley.” The 43-year-old actor, also a self-proclaimed superfan of “Vanderpump Rules,” expressed his support for Taylor’s decision to step away from the cameras after two seasons on the Bravo spinoff.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the season 2 premiere of his show Platonic in Los Angeles, Rogen did not hold back his opinions on Taylor. He stated, “I don’t think Jax should come back at this point. He’s a pretty, maybe, just bad person. We can say that he’s been that way for 20 years on television or however long it’s been — he doesn’t seem like he’s going to change.”

Rogen continued to critique Taylor’s behaviour, highlighting a recent episode in which Taylor’s estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, accused him of “body-shaming” her and not contributing to their family’s finances. Rogen did not mince his words, calling Taylor a “bad character” and expressing his disbelief at Taylor’s actions on the show.

Despite Taylor’s exit creating a void on the reality series, Rogen jokingly suggested that he would have no qualms stepping into a role on the show. He mentioned, “Maybe, if there’s a role, I would. Yes, if there’s a role, I would.” Rogen’s light-hearted comment adds a touch of humour to the seriousness of the situation.
Taylor announced his decision to “step away” from The Valley ahead of season 3, citing the need to focus on his sobriety, mental health, and co-parenting relationship with his son, Cruz. The news reportedly caught the rest of the cast off-guard, with sources revealing that they were not informed in advance about Taylor’s departure.
The tumultuous relationship between Taylor and Cartwright, compounded by their recent divorce and Taylor’s admissions of battling bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance abuse issues, has been a focal point of the show. Cartwright, in a recent interview, expressed support for Taylor’s decision to leave the show, echoing sentiments that it was a necessary step for his personal well-being.
While Taylor’s departure may have left fans and the cast reeling, insiders and co-stars like Andy Cohen have expressed understanding and approval of Taylor’s choice to take a step back from the spotlight. Cohen remarked that Taylor may need to work on personal matters away from the cameras, emphasising the importance of privacy in such circumstances.
As the drama unfolds on and off-screen, viewers eagerly anticipate how the dynamics will shift in the upcoming season of “The Valley.” With Taylor’s departure leaving a significant impact, the show’s future hangs in the balance. Whether new faces will fill the void left by Taylor or existing cast members will step up to the plate, one thing is certain – the drama and intrigue of reality television never fail to captivate audiences.
