Boy, 7, Loses Part of His Leg and Suffers ‘Long and Deep Wounds’ in Shark Attack

A young boy, aged 7, experienced a terrifying ordeal when he lost part of his leg in a shark attack while playing in the waters of Taiohae Bay in Nuku Hiva, an island in French Polynesia, on Friday, July 25. The child was among a group of about 10 children swimming in the area when the attack took place.
