The initiative, led by the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF), not only located the children but also uncovered new leads in various missing children cases. The effort was a collaborative one, with organisations like Operation Light Shine and the Tim Tebow Foundation working alongside local sheriff’s offices and other agencies.
The NCPTF orchestrated the operation from the Operation Light Shine office in Jacksonville, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to providing law enforcement and frontline responders with the necessary tools to combat human trafficking and child exploitation. Throughout the mission, a dedicated team of professionals utilised advanced technology and conducted intensive case reviews to swiftly track down the missing children spread across Clay, Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Putnam, and Flagler Counties.
Kevin Branzetti, the CEO of NCPTF, revealed that the initial count of 21 children located during the operation ranged in age and duration of disappearance. Some had been missing for just over a week, while others had vanished over 400 days ago.
