Arkansas School Director Among 4 Accused of Running ‘Makeshift Child Fight Club’ and Permitting Child Abuse

Four individuals have been accused of running a ‘makeshift child fight club’ at a school in Arkansas. According to prosecuting attorney Sonia Hagood, the charges were filed after a 30-minute video of an incident at The Delta Institute for the Developing Brain emerged online, showing disturbing actions involving the educators. The accused individuals include Mary Tracy Morrison, Michael Bean, Kristin Bell, and Kathrine Lipscomb.

Mary Tracy Morrison was identified as the alleged ringleader of the operation, with the prosecutor requesting a bail of $250,000 to be set for her. The court hearing resulted in Craighead County District Judge David Boling finding probable cause to charge all four educators with permitting child abuse. The video revealed a teacher instructing a student to hit another boy “in the private area,” shedding light on the shocking events that took place within the school.

All four accused individuals surrendered themselves after warrants were issued for their arrest. Morrison, who is also the owner of the school, and Lipscomb, a teacher at the institution, were among those taken into custody.
