She is a rising senior majoring in Journalism at Pepperdine, where she serves as the editor-in-chief of the school’s magazine. People Editorial Guidelines Published on April 22, 2025 02:54PM EDT Comments Gia Giudice Shares Positive Update on Father Joe’s Life in the Bahamas Gia Giudice, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, offers insights into her father Joe Giudice’s current status, six years after being deported from the United States consequent to serving a 41-month prison sentence for fraud. Presently residing out of the public eye in the Bahamas, Gia attests that he “is doing amazing.” “We visit him at least four times a year,” she discloses, referring to herself and her three sisters — Milania, 19, Gabriella, 20, and Audriana, 15. She continues, “He is living life. He is back in the construction world, so he is just doing a lot of construction work out there in the Bahamas. He specializes in tile and stone, that’s what he’s really good at. So he does a lot of tiling and stone jobs. He just built this really cool seawall. But yeah, he’s doing great.” A Glimpse into Joe’s Bahamas Life Fans were first introduced to the Giudice family when Teresa Giudice (who also encountered legal issues and later separated from Joe) joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2009. Whilst Teresa continues to share her life on the show, Joe has opted for a more secluded existence. Looking ahead, Gia expresses her intention to feature Joe on her new iHeartRadio podcast, Casual Chaos, to provide followers with an update on his current endeavors. “I would love to have my dad on my podcast,” she hints. “He will definitely be on my podcast. I would even bring my at-home studio to the Bahamas and conduct a real podcast with him. I would love that.” Gia’s Podcast Plans and Inspirations After the public saga of her parents’ legal issues, Gia initially planned to pursue a law degree. However, she has since embraced other opportunities that have come her way, although she remains connected to her legal aspirations. “I would love to incorporate some guests that are lawyers onto my podcast, 100%, even to talk about my dad’s case or anything like that, my parents’ case. I feel like that would be really cool,” she elaborates. Discussing the podcast’s focus, she adds, “I’m super excited to talk about topics like divorce and talk about how I manage my parents’ divorce and maybe see if that can help others, or how I dealt with my parents’ incarceration if any of my viewers are dealing with their parents, family members or friends going through incarceration.” Gia’s Hopeful Impact Through her podcast, coupled with an upcoming reality series titled Next Gen NYC, Gia aims to showcase a different facet of her personality. “I’m excited for people to get to know my fun lighthearted self,” she shares. “And I just want them to feel like they’re in a conversation with me while listening to my podcast. I want them to feel how casual and easy I am, and I also want them to really feel like they can relate to me.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.
