In a recent lawsuit, rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing serious allegations of sexual assault after reportedly uttering threatening words towards a woman in a Los Angeles club back in 2016. The unnamed accuser claims that during her visit to Club Playhouse in November 2016, Combs approached her along with his entourage. According to a complaint filed in New York State Supreme Court and reviewed by PEOPLE, Combs allegedly offered her a drink which she declined. In response, Combs reportedly used threatening language, saying, “Bitch, I’m not asking you. Drink that s— and shut the f— up.”

The woman alleges that she felt pressured to drink the beverage after Combs forcefully slid the glass towards her. She further claims that Combs then proceeded to put his arm around her in a side hug and forcefully penetrated her with his fingers while making derogatory remarks. Despite her attempts to push him away, Combs allegedly laughed and showed amusement at her distress. Eventually, the woman was allowed to leave, but she recalls feeling disoriented as she hailed a cab back to her hotel. Upon arriving back at her hotel, she experienced dizziness and needed assistance to get to her room.
The following morning, the woman reportedly discovered tearing and bruising around her genital area, believed to be a result of the assault. Notably, the complaint does not suggest that the drink was spiked. This disturbing incident adds to the mounting legal troubles for Combs, as numerous civil lawsuits have been filed against him, accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct. Combs has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing and maintains his innocence.
In response to the allegations, Combs’ attorneys have emphasised his innocence, stating, “No matter how many lawsuits are filed—especially by individuals who refuse to put their own names behind their claims—it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court.”
In addition to the civil lawsuits, Combs is also facing federal criminal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty to the criminal charges, Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail multiple times. His trial is scheduled to commence in May, as he continues to fight against the serious allegations brought against him.
It is crucial to note that these are legal allegations and have not been proven in court. It is a challenging situation for all parties involved, and it is essential to allow the legal process to unfold to determine the facts of the case. The seriousness of the accusations highlights the importance of addressing and combating sexual assault in all its forms, as individuals must be held accountable for their actions.
In light of these events, it is imperative to raise awareness about resources available for those who have experienced sexual assault.
