Noah Centineo, the talented actor known for his roles in various TV shows and movies, recently opened up about his experience filming at the CIA Headquarters for the second season of ‘The Recruit.’ Centineo revealed that shooting at the real CIA office in McLean, Va., just outside of Washington, D.C., felt like “going home” to him.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Centineo shared that getting clearance to film at the CIA headquarters was an “insane” experience. He mentioned that the production team behind ‘The Recruit’ was given permission to shoot at the new headquarters, making them the first show to do so.
Centineo plays the character of Owen Hendricks, a rookie CIA lawyer, in the Netflix series. He described his time at the CIA building as “super immersive,” especially since he had visited the agency before for preparation. Meeting with analysts and lawyers at the headquarters helped him understand his character’s world better.
Despite the intense and action-packed scenes in ‘The Recruit,’ Centineo admitted that he didn’t need much preparation for his role. As Owen is not trained in combat, Centineo focused on bringing authenticity to his character’s actions without relying on complex fight choreography.
Humor plays a significant role in the series, adding a light-hearted touch to the espionage plot. Centineo praised his co-star Teo Yoo for his comedic skills, making it challenging for the cast to keep a straight face during filming. The actor revealed that the chemistry among the cast members made the filming experience even more enjoyable.
Season 2 of ‘The Recruit’ follows Owen as he navigates a dangerous espionage mission in South Korea while uncovering internal threats within the CIA. The season picks up right where the first season left off, promising more thrilling twists and turns for viewers.
Centineo also had the opportunity to reunite with Anna Cathcart, his co-star from ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ for a cameo appearance in the series. Despite feeling nervous about reprising his role from the beloved franchise, Centineo was eager to support Cathcart and make the cameo a memorable experience.
Fans can catch Noah Centineo in action as Owen Hendricks in the latest season of ‘The Recruit,’ now streaming on Netflix. The blend of drama, espionage, and humor promises an exciting viewing experience for audiences worldwide.
