Brolin, 56, shared his experience on Sirius XM’s podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, shedding light on the challenges he faced upon returning to Montecito, California, where he spent his formative years.

Beyond his recent struggles, Brolin’s life story is a tapestry of diverse experiences, as showcased in his memoir “From Under the Truck.” The actor delves into his unconventional upbringing, his journey to stardom in iconic films like “The Goonies” and “No Country for Old Men,” and his personal battles with addiction and fatherhood.
